Phonak Hearing Aids
Phonak is a Swiss hearing aid manufacturer, founded in 1947 and now a part of the Sonova Group. Phonak is committed to connecting people to their loved ones and the things they are passionate about by restoring their hearing. Phonak is also committed to tearing down barriers for the hearing impaired and removing stigmas around hearing loss. In the last decade, Phonak launched the Hear the World initiative to raise awareness about the importance of hearing and the consequences of hearing loss.
Introducing the new Belong Platform and Audeo B-R
Belong is Phonak’s latest hearing aid platform, available with the new Audeo B receiver-in-canal model (Audeo B-R). Belong offers lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology, with 40% more power than conventional rechargeable batteries and a 30-minute fast charging option that gives six hours of immediate use.
Audeo B-R is Phonak’s first rechargeable hearing aid, designed with exciting functions to support the listening process. With the AutoSense Operating System, Audeo B-R offers better hearing performance in everyday listening situations as well as ease of operation. Audeo B-R provides wearers with 20% better speech understanding and 60% improvement of speech understanding in noisy environments. AutoSense OS adjusts automatically as wearers move through environments, whether in a car listening to music or conversing with friends in loud dining environments.
Audeo B-R hearing aids are available in four performance levels and in nine different colors. As a rechargeable aid, wearers do not need to worry about replacing batteries. Audeo B-R is designed to resist dust and moisture, with a rating of IP 68. Coupled with long-lasting batteries, a quick charge, and flexible operating system, Audeo B-R is perfect for those with active lifestyles.
Lyric is a 24/7, invisible hearing aid that Phonak has dubbed the “contact lens” of hearing aids. Lyric is inserted deep in the ear canal near the eardrum by a hearing professional, and it may remain there without removal for up to three months. Unlike traditional hearing aids, Lyric may be worn all day and night, while wearers sleep, shower, swim, and pursue any other activity as they normally would.
When Lyric’s battery is near expiration, your hearing specialist will remove the hearing aid and replace it with a new one. Lyric delivers exceptional sound quality by working with the ear’s natural anatomy. When sound enters through the outer ear, it travels in the canal to be amplified near the eardrum, which is where the Lyric is positioned. The Lyric is also designed to reduce background noise and improve the ability to hear high-frequency sounds.
Audeo V, Virto V, Bolero V Hearing Aids
Phonak Audeo, Virto and Bolero V hearing aids are powered by the Venture Processing Platform, a new chip technology introduced in 2014. Venture has a fast processing speed and 200 channels that automatically adjust in different environments. Venture provides Phonak hearing aids with excellent speech recognition in different environments such as in cars and in loud noise.
Phonak hearing aids offer features such as Ultra Zoom, which enables wearers to hone in on the sounds they want to hear, Speech in 360 degrees to improve spatial awareness, tinnitus therapy, and an enhanced music listening program for wearers to experience music comfortably whether at home or at a concert venue.
Audeo V, Virto V, and Bolder V hearing aids are available in various technology levels to treat mild to profound hearing loss. Select models offer tinnitus therapy options. The Audeo V is worn in the receiver-in-canal style (it is the predecessor of the Audeo B-R described above), the Bolero V is worn behind-the-ear, and the Virto V comes in a range of customizable in-the-ear styles.
